Visit to the Educational households will allow to the visitors of all ages to learn more about the origin and history of food, ecological methods of food production, agricultural production, how and where animals live on the farm, how to plant and cultivate fruit and vegetables. All this will be followed by fun, tasting and enjoying in the nature and fresh air.



 IlandzaWine, recreation and leisure

Banatski biser is situated in the farthest north of Deliblatska peščara, in the village of Ilandža.

This wine-tourist complex offers a new kind of tourism, wine tourism and hospitality industry. On the farm you will meet your kind host Dejan Stanković with his family.

Dejan Stanković is engaged for many years in the development of its holding with tourism purposes, so today there are many activities that can be offered to visitors - visit to the winery and wine degustation, recreation and sports fishing, as well as pleasure in the beautiful nature and the local cuisine.

This household is a particular holding, as it produces wines from its own vineyard of 18 hectares area. One part of this household makes a lake with several types of fish, primarily intended for recreational fishing. Tourism and recreational facilities around lake, such as restaurant, barbecue, pony club, bike trails, and beaches for swimming only enrich overall content of this complex.

Household can receive a one-day school trips and excursions. It has facilities for the reception and education of visitors. All visitors can have a lunch here, made of traditional local products.

An educational household's offer includes:

1. Walk through a vineyard

Visitors can visit the vineyards where various grape sorts are planted. Walk is accompanied by a story about grapes, their cultivation and high-quality wine production.

2. Tasting of the best wines

This visit is a unique opportunity for visitors to taste the excellent wine, produced by the French technology. During the open air workshop, process of wine production will be presented. Then the story of the importance of wine, from a medical point of view, follows.

3. Walk around the lake

Visitors will have an opportunity to visit an environmentally clean lake that has been stocked with several species of fish. A walk around the lake will be accompanied by story about the importance of ecology for life, as well as by story about the importance of recreational activities in daily life.

 janosikSour cherry growing and production

Educational household „Janošičanka" is located near Deliblatska peščara, in the municipality of Alibunar, in the local community of Janošik. The place is known for its multiculturalism, since there live many Slovaks.

Educational household Janošičanka has been producing sour cherries and cherry products for many years. They have a large orchard, where different varieties of sour cherries grow.

Sour cherries are used for the production of juices, syrups and „slatko", as well as for making of various traditional cakes.

This household receives one-day school excursions and visits. It has one room for the reception and education of visitors. All visitors have a lunch and refreshments here.

When you come to the household, the host, Viktoria Kolar, will present you the cultivation of sour cherries - how do they plant sour cherries, cultivate it, which types of sour cherries exist. Visitors can learn about the methods of sour cherries production and transformation, but also to taste products that they themselves created during the visit.

Offer of educational household Janošičanka includes:

1. Meeting with the sour cherries

Visitors can visit an orchard in which the different varieties of sour cherries are grown. They will see in practice the methods of sour cherries growing - from trees planting, over the fruit cultivation, to the harvest of ripe fruit. The visit will be followed by story about the tradition of sour cherries products that has been produced on the household.

2. Sour cherries products

There is also provided a visit to premises, where sour cherry products are being prepared. Introducing of preparation methods is included in this part of the visit. Sour cherry products tasting, accompanied with a story about its medicinal properties.

3. School for cakes preparation

The traditional methods of sour cherry cakes' preparation will be presented to the visitors, aiming to involve visitors themselves in preparation process. Tasting of prepared cakes and sour cherry juice follows in the end of the visit.

 vrsacMini zoo

At the foot of the Vrsac Mountains, on the road Vršac-Veliko Gradište, the Stefanović family formed a Mini zoo. At the first sight, by looking at the farm situated only three kilometers from the center of Vršac, the tourists would think that he arrived somewhere in the wilderness. But it's a delusion. On the surface of thirty acres of fenced area, there are inhabited deer and fallow deer, roe deer, wild pigs and buffalo.

The original idea of the Stefanovic couple was to cultivate the fallow deer for sale, but the idea didn't succeed, since it is against our law. So, they came up with the idea to create a kind of Banat safari, unique in this part of Europe. To make the zoo even more interesting, they plan to purchase the mouflon, rabbits and other varieties, specific for this area.

The household receives one-day school excursions and visits. It has one room for the reception and education of visitors. A lunch and refreshments are here provided to all visitors.

Offer of educational household Stefanovic includes:

1. Understanding of the animals growing on the farm

The visitors will have an open lecture on the animals' nutrition in summer and winter, followed by a short story about each animal that is grown in the mini zoo. The focus will be given on the most numerous inhabitants of the Zoo, fallow deer, and the first examples of this unique race, that the originates from the Briuni. Kosta said that they have „blue blood".

2. Visit of mini zoo in the train and animals feeding

Visitors will have an opportunity to walk with the household owner through the whole zoo to see on the spot the animals in their natural environment. Also, there is a possibility to feed animals for all those who want to try it. Walk will be accompanied by a story about the farm history, beginning of the zoo creation and plans for its future expansion.

 crkvaGrowing and production of autochthonous species

Salash „KASTING", owned by Bradvarević Jovica is located in area of Banatska Palanka on the bank of the river Danube. Salash became famous in 2008th, when the scenes for the most expensive Serbian film project "Saint George Slaying the Dragon" were shot.

The farm, dealing with conservation of genetic resources in agriculture, makes one part of salash. It is an ecological farm, where Podolian cattle and razcka sheep, autochthonic species of livestock, are producing milk with high protein content and low in fats. On Bradvarevic farm, high quality organic, slow food - milk, cheese and meat products, as well as mulberry brandy, are being produced.

All species are grown in great traditional grazing system of high natural value of the agricultural system, which ensures the preservation of the biodiversity of grassland of Deliblatska peščara Reserve.

Household receives one-day school excursions and visits. It has one premise for the reception and education of visitors. All visitors have a lunch, prepared of typical farm products and refreshments.

Offer of educational household Bradvarević includes:

1. Familiarize with the salash

Visitors can hear a short story about the farm, which has a long history of 200 years, as well as learn something about the origin and quality of autochthonic cattle breed, grown on the farm. A workshop on rural life follows, where the present life and the means used for the production of agricultural products will be compared to the life and means which were used by our ancestors.

2. From the field to the table

During this visit, visitors will have an opportunity to learn about the origin and quality of autochthonous species which are grown on the farm. The farm visitors can see where animals live and what they eat. Visitors can also participate in the making of cheese from razcka sheep milk. After walk through the farm, open air workshop follows, where the local farm products are being presented.

Šumarak is a village, located on less than 40 kilometers from Pančevo, surrounded by untouched nature of a Special Nature Reserve Deliblatska Peščara ". "The children can learn here and understand their own diet, what they eat. Here, everything is natural, the milk is not in the carton. Children can see an egg, hen that left the egg, the way this egg passed from the field to the plate. They can also taste milk and milk products."

1. Familiarize with the salash

The lecture on the traditional way of life in Banat and on the household history can be presented to the visitors. Then a practical part of visit follows, consisting of walk around the farm, demonstration of old tools, which were used for the land cultivation and small exhibition of traditional handicrafts. Visitors can compare on the spot the present way of life in rural areas with traditional.

2. Contact with animals

Visitors have the opportunity to learn about domestic animals, grown on the farm. Firstly, they visit the stable, accompanied by the story of animal growing method on the farm - feeding, products derived from animals. Youngest visitors can ride a donkey. After visit and lecture about the animals on the farm, an open workshop follows, where the local farm products will be demonstrated
